MTV's -> "THE BURIED LIFE"

The timing of this show couldn't be better given the economy and general mood of our nation right now. It's funny how a simple question like "What do you want to do before you die?" can put things into perspective and helps us consider what's really important in life. I'm looking forward to adding The Buried Life to my list of shows.

The series premieres on MTV January 18 at 10PM ET/PT.

NOOKA WHAT I FOUND

Zirc_mr_front

Last night I visited the NOOKA offices for their holiday friends and family sale.  It was great to see and be able to try on all their different watches.

If you haven't heard of NOOKA before you should definitely check them out.  They make watches as well as iPhone covers, belts, cologne (which is surprisingly good!) and Sunglasses (Spring 2010).  NOOKA watches take a fresh new look at how we view time.  Many designs are stylish for dressing up as well as fun for a weekend at the beach or just running around town.

Below are a few of my faves but be sure to check their newest arrivals by clicking here.

Boston's gay Flag Football Team put together this song & dance video in the hopes of getting Ellen's attention. Perhaps we will see them on her show one day soon?

PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS

Human Rights Campaign recently released its Buying for Equality "Buyers Guide 2010" which helps us support businesses that support us with every purchase we make.  They list companies and their products we should be purchasing as well as the ones we shouldn't.

A great resource to keep on hand because while some companies like Absolut and Ikea are very verbal about their support of equality, other supportive companies like American Airlines, Bank of America and Citi might not be top of mind (all three of which are Platinum sponsors to HRC).

For more information or to download the guide you can click the box above or go to the HRC website by clicking here.

GET MARRIED WHILE YOU'RE HIGH

Mt_everest-150x150

Can't get married in New York?  Not a problem... My friend AKA William alerted me that Nepal is actively reaching out to gay, lesbian and transgender couples who want to marry.  I have to agree a wedding at Mount Everest would be quite spectacular.  Can you imagine the photos?

CALVIN KLEIN BILLBOARD

Saturday after my friends Kevin, David and I had lunch at Delicatessen in Soho, we drove past the new "scandalous" billboard by Calvin Klein.  To be honest, we didn't think much more than "wow that's hot."  But apparently the photography has some people upset.

Metro NY spoke with Cynthia Richey, a 39 year old mother from Brooklyn, who said "I have a 6-year-old, and I don't want her to see that while she is walking down the street."

To which I say "Please, Stay in Brooklyn!  Your daughter will see worse things on the street."

P.S. You can get your sexy Calvin's here at Freshpair.com (and here for our lady readers).
