SECURITY! SECURITY!

Stop and imagine what it must feel like to hear this very phrase yelled directly into your face...

According to our friend Gary this was yelled at him last night while filing a formal complaint against a 20 year old passenger from Mexico on board our Gaylebrity Celebrity Cruise ship.  After multiple verbal assaults to our group and threats to "throw one of us overboard" and saying "blood will be shed" we decided it was time to take action and file a formal complaint with Celebrity Cruises.  The next evening (Friday, August 28th, 2009) upon returning to the port of Alexandria, Egypt we were pulled aside by the Chief Security Officer of Equinox and told they would be asking this passenger to disembark the ship.




As you can see in this photo, his entire family decided to leave with him. We were told by an anonymous source that his family did not originally want to leave with him but due to his being under 21 it was required that one family member must escort him.  It appears they all decided to leave together and we can only imagine how unhappy they must have been.

My only hope is that this situation teaches this young man, his family and anyone else reading this story that it is NOT okay to to make threats to anyone! Whether at an airport, gym, cruise or in the street it is not acceptable. Regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation we all deserve to be treated equally as human beings. Embrace others differences and you will learn and grow as a person.

SNEAK PEEK - CRUISING THE MEDITERRANEN CELEBRITY STYLE

 

We are only one week away from our inaugural cruise together and are getting very excited.  We fly into Rome and head straight to Civitavecchia where we board the Celebrity cruise ship Equinox.  We are flying United Airlines to Rome which will be heavenly given we are guaranteed Economy Plus seats.  When you are 6'3" tall the right seat makes all the difference.

Equinox has a Croquet lawn so I'm sure we will convince the other boys to play a game of Ghetto Croquet.  Be sure to check back for our daily updates on our adventures from the cruise and excursions!
